- Batac -

Batac is the boyhood home of Ferdinand Marcos (1917-89).  His embalmed body is on

display in a mausoleum open to the public, but no photos are allowed.  But is it really him?

That's an open question among the locals.  I saw the corpse myself and it's hard to say.

The Batac Cathedral is also known as the Aglipayan Cathedral and was constructed in 1587.

It was cleaning day at the church

The former Marcos family home is now a government run museum.  The outside of

the house needs a little work, but indoors and the grounds are absolutely beautiful
